We’re very excited to partner with SOUTHERN AIRLINES and head down to the picturesque King Island in the Bass Strait for a quick overnight adventure. We’ll fly down on Saturday morning almost straight to the races for a relaxing day enjoying the action up close and personal. Then on Sunday, we’ll explore beautiful King Island and it’s famous dairy, stock up on cheese and fly home with some goodies.
PAYMENT – $200 Deposit due on booking, balance due 45 days before the tour begins.
Make your way to Moorabbin Airport in Melbourne for our morning flight to King Island with Southern Airlines. We’ll enjoy a quick 45-minute flight over Bass Straight down to King Island where we’ll be picked up and transferred to the King Island Hotel for check-in and change into our races outfits.
After a freshen up we’ll head off to Kind Island Race Club for a fun day. We are free to roam and take up a spot from any of the fantastic vantage points on the hill or down by the mounting yard. Take advantage of the local bbq (steak sandwiches are amazing) and bar.
After the last race, we’ll be transferred back to the hotel where the evening is yours to enjoy plenty of drinks at the King Island Hotel as the racing crowd unwinds.
After a little sleep-in, we’re off to explore beautiful King Island with local guide Matthew. He’ll take us to all the key spots of the island, give us some history and then we get to enjoy some Gin at the Distillery and best of all, cheese at the famous King Island Dairy.
After enjoying a relaxing lunch at the King Island Brewhouse, we make our way back to the airport for our flight to Melbourne. This may just be a quick trip, but it promises to be a fantastic little adventure.
