Join our friends at group 1 winning syndicators First Light Racing for an exclusive VIP Magic Millions weekend. In partnership with their trainers, FLR’s Tim Wilson & Ash Dowley offer guests a unique insight into how the next champions of the Australian and global turf are selected and purchased. Having secured the Group 2 Wakeful and Group 1 VRC Oaks in 2018 with $80,000 purchase ARISTIA (over $1.1 Million in prizemoney!), this is your chance to see first-hand how one of Australia’s leading syndicators select’s their next crop of yearlings.
The four-day experience will include a private yacht cruise, Magic Millions Calcutta Dinner, private yearling parades from leading studs, a private dinner with the First Light Racing team and our own marquee at the Magic Millions Sales complex. Oh – and don’t forget – we’ll also take in the excitement of the Magic Millions Raceday featuring the $2 million Magic Millions 2YO Classic.
PAYMENT – $200 Refundable Deposit due on booking, balance due 60 days before the tour begins.
Arrive early and make your way to the 5* Star Hotel & Casino in Broadbeach. We’ll head out at midday for a private tour of the beautiful AQUIS FARM including a stallion parade (TBC). Then we’ll all meet up for a few drinks to get to know each other before heading out for a nice dinner with the Group 1 winning First Light Racing team and a special guest.
After a relaxing morning, we’re off on a private luxury yacht charter. We’ll cruise the Gold Coast Broadwater on-board the luxury motor vessel ‘MV Bacchus’. The MV Bacchus is a refined and comfortable way to cruise and enjoy the Gold Coast views and its gorgeous weather.
Five separate viewing areas provide spectacular views behind the capable hands of our experienced skipper. Once aboard, its truly an adventure of a lifetime on one of the most magnificent waterways of the world, the Gold Coast Broadwater, Southport, Queensland.
We’ll enjoy a nice bbq lunch and a few drinks as we cruise around.
After returning to our hotel, we get ready for the Calcutta dinner and join racing enthusiasts for a fun and relaxed night with dinner and drinks. Racing identities will provide insight into the prestigious The Star Gold Coast Magic Millions 2YO Classic, then the hot Calcutta action begins. A sell-out event not to be missed.
After a sleep-in or walk along the famous Gold Coast beach, we’ll head out to the Magic Millions Sales complex for some private inspections of many select yearlings with the FLR team and their trainers. We’ll learn what the FLR team is looking for when attempting to find their next $80,000 Group 1 winner. We’ll also meet with some of Australia’s leading studs and view their crop of yearlings going through the sales ring.
Watch up to 200 yearlings go under the hammer from the Atrium Stands or in our Marquee including food and drinks all day where we’ll hopefully purchase a few horses with the First Light Racing team.
Then after the sales conclude, we head across the road for the new FRIDAY NIGHT RACES! Exact details still to be finalised.
We’ll head out to Gold Coast Turf Club to see all the action in the sunshine! We’re in the Events Centre Hospitality Room including all food & drinks where we’ll have a prime position for the big day. Then head across post races for an evening at the Yearling Sales to see the biggest and best lots go under the hammer and enjoy a few drinks to finish off the weekend in our marquee.
The tour concludes this morning at check-out.
For those not heading home early, we can head back out to the Magic Millions Sales for a recovery afternoon, inspect some more yearlings and purchase a few more horses to round out the weekend.
