Join us as we head to the best day on the South Australian country racing calendar in the Balaklava Cup, also known as the biggest party in South Australia, unrivalled for atmosphere and caters for a wide array of guests.
 
Based in the Barossa Valley we’ll explore the beautiful wineries in the area, taste as much as we can and enjoy some lovely lunches of local produce. 
 
We’ll also have a tour of the famous Kildalton Park, former home of the Hayes empire, now with Tony McEvoy. This is an amazing setup, a real horse heaven. We then finish the week in Adelaide with a trip to Morphettville.

TUESDAY 13 SEPTEMBER 2022Welcome Dinner

We meet in central Adelaide or Adelaide Airport before making the one hour trip to the beautiful Novotel Barossa Valley Resort. The Novotel Barossa Valley Resort is centrally located overlooking the vines of Jacob’s Creek and the Barossa Valley Ranges. 

After settling in we’ll meet for some welcome drinks before enjoying a nice local dinner and getting to know each other.

WEDNESDAY 14 SEPTEMBERBalaklava Cup Day

After a relaxing morning, we head off to the Balaklava Cup, also known as the biggest party in South Australia, unrivalled for atmosphere and caters for a wide array of guests with not only racing but Fashions on the field, fine food, drinks, and entertainment.

We’re located in the Beldale Balle Marquee, a fully inclusive seated trackside marquee, including entry, racebook, three-course buffet lunch, beer, wine, cider, spirits and soft drink. The Beldale Ball marquee is
trackside with large beer-garden, marquee host, private tote facility and TV’s for comfort.

After the races,. we’ll head back to the hotel to relax in front of the stunning views

THURSDAY 15 SEPTEMBERWinery Luncheon & Stable Visit (TBC)

Today we head to a nice local winery for a tasting and lunch. Then we’ll drop into another winery on the way back to the hotel to enjoy a couple more glasses of local wine as we take in the best of South Australia.

FRIDAY 16 SEPTEMBERMore Wineries and transfer to Adelaide

After a relaxing morning, we’re off to explore a few more wineries, sample the beautiful wines and enjoy another nice lunch of local produce.

We then make our way back to Adelaide and our accommodation in Glenelg. We’ll be staying at the Stamford Grand right on the beach in the heart of Glenelg. The evening is yours to explore the area and it’s many wonderful restaurants.

SATURDAY 17 SEPTEMBERMorphettville Races

Today we’re off to the races in Adelaide where we have a private box with premium catering. Located just 75m from the finish line, these private boxes have fantastic views over the whole track.

The races conclude around 6 pm and you have the evening to celebrate a great day out and spend your winnings!

SUNDAY 18 SEPTEMBER 2022Tour Concludes

The tour concludes this morning after breakfast as we all head home, hopefully with some great memories, a box of wine and a few winnings.
