After having to cancel our 2020 tour with just ten days to departure (full refunds), we’ll miss it again in 2021, but plan to be back in 2022 for “the richest day in horseracing”.
The Dubai World Cup marks the season’s end of the month-long Dubai World Cup Carnival. The Dubai World Cup alone carries a purse of US$10 million, but next year this amazing day will be even bigger: nine other races on the day will push up total prize money to just under US$30 million!
With so much at stake, horse racing doesn’t get any more exciting than this. The atmosphere is electrifying, and you can be there to soak it in while you mingle with some of the biggest names in horse racing.
PAYMENT – $500pp deposit due on booking, balance due 60 days before the tour begins.
Arrive in Dubai and make your way to the five-star Sofitel Jumeirah Beach. We’ll have some drinks in the hotel to get to know each other, then head out for a dinner cruise.
We’ll glide along Dubai Creek and admire Dubai’s twinkling skyline over a gourmet dinner on this 2.5-hour ‘Bateaux Dubai’ evening cruise as you admire the floodlit landmarks from the glass-enclosed or outdoor decks.
After breakfast, we’ll be taken on a guided tour of Dubai to get the lay of the land and learn about the amazing history of this desert oasis.Visit some of the colourful souks and magnificent mosques before continuing on to the prestigious Jumeirah Beach area. We’ll also visit the Khalifa Tower – the tallest building in the world and head up to the observation deck on the 125th floor to see the whole of Dubai.
This morning we will be transferred to the state of the art Meydan Racecourse, the centrepiece of Meydan horse racing city and attend Breakfast with the Stars. Then you’ll have the day to yourselves before we head off for an evening Desert Safari, for an off-road adventure including a traditional Arabian BBQ dinner.
After a few busy days, today is a day at leisure to explore more of Dubai, do some shopping at their world-famous malls or just sit back and relax by the pool.
In the evening we’ll head off to a Dubai World Cup Preview Evening with Frankie Dettori and other racing guests to hear the latest news and get some tips from the jockeys mouth.
Your morning is at leisure before we arrive at Meydan Racecourse, unrivalled in size and beauty, for the Dubai World Cup. The day’s racing action consists of a total prize pool estimated at $30 million, including the $10 million Dubai World Cup and being the 25th anniversary edition we are sure it will be a spectacle like no other.
We have a great hospitality location in the air-conditioned Lounge on Level 6 overlooking the straight, including afternoon tea, international buffet and premium beverages.
After breakfast, the tour concludes and we all head our separate ways, hopefully with some winnings from the week
