Staying at the stunning Segenhoe Inn Bed & Breakfast, all to ourselves, we’ll visit the heart of Australian thoroughbred breeding, the Hunter Valley, to visit all the leading studs in NSW. With over 50 studs scattered throughout the beautiful Hunter Valley, we’ll visit some of the best including Darley, Coolmore, Vinery, Widden, Arrowfield, Newgate and Yarraman Park. Mixed amongst the studs are some fantastic wineries as well, and we’ll be sure to drop in for a drink or two.
We’ll then finish the week at the Scone Cup Carnival, it is one of the biggest country race days on the NSW racing calendar and a half-day public holiday in Scone. The two day Darley Scone Cup Carnival incorporating the Darley Scone Cup Race Day and the Inglis Guineas & Coolmore Dark Jewel Race Day, the next day, is the largest country racing carnival in Australia, offering nearly $2M in prize money and stand-alone metropolitan status.

Arrive in Sydney & meet at our central location for our private coach transfer to the Hunter Valley. On arrival into Aberdeen, we make our way to the historic Segenhoe Inn Bed & Breakfast where we have the place to ourselves for the week. After a freshen up, we’ll head down to our private bar for drinks and then head to dinner where we’ll get to know everyone. A special guest or two may drop by.
After a relaxing morning, we head off on our first day touring around the Hunter Valley visiting some amazing studs including Arrowfield, Coolmore and Darley. We’ll view their leading stallions and some weanlings as we check out next years crop of Yearling sale toppers.
We’ll also visit a winery or two for some tasting and beautiful local lunch. On return to Segenhoe Inn the evening is yours to enjoy the beautiful property, some local hospitality and just relax.

Today we’re off to the opening day of the Scone Cup Carnival where we’ll be located in the Function Centre with all-inclusive premium food and beverage package. We’re in a premium airconditioned location overlooking the Winning Post and Mounting yard with the added attraction of entry into the Darley Marquee after 5:30pm to continue your party.
We’ll return to Aberdeen after a few post races drinks.
We’re back at the track for Scone Cup Day, one of the biggest days in NSW country racing, headlined by the $200,000 Scone Cup. We’re located in a premium fully inclusive trackside function where there are uninterrupted views of the entire course and mountains beyond. Relax and watch a day of Black type racing like no other.
Following the last race, we’ll enjoy a few drinks at the track before heading back to the Segenhoe Inn for final nights drinks in the bar.
It’s been a massive week and hopefully, we’ve still got some winnings in our pockets. We’ll make our way back to Sydney before heading our separate ways after another great racing adventure.
